“Love finds a way,” ang binitiwang tagline ni Sam Concepcion sa social media video invite para sa nalalapit nilang digital concert nina Janine Teñoso, Daryl Ong, at Katrina Velarde, ang FOUR HEARTS.
In the same manner, all four found a way to still perform despite the challenges of the pandemic. Their common passion for performing ang nagbigay-daan, so to speak, for them to easily give this foursome collab concept ng Viva Live a go.
In the case of magka-ibigang Daryl and Kat, kumakanta-kanta naman daw sila sa Kumu pero iba pa rin pag conceptualized event. Kaya kahit limited resources and galawans—lalo pa’t natapat na nag-ECQ na naman sa Metro Manila at the time na magre-rehearse at magus-shoot na sila for the concert—they all found a way para buuin sanib-p’wersa nilang mga legit talents.
“Since I’ll also sing my own songs, from my new EP, ’yon nalang din ang i-impart ko na it’s okay to be alone in this season [of pandemic]…It’s okay not to depend on your own relationships, it’s okay to process yourself.”
“I don’t know if I’m the best person to give advice. [on love],” natatawang attempt sumagot ni Sam “But that’s what I try to talk about through this show…my past experiences, my current experiences…and I hope people will find something in it. I don’t intend to have the answers for them [the audience]. But what’s important is making that connection through our songs.”
Happy daw sila na binigyang-laya silang apat to sing their respective original songs sa concert at sa case ni Daryl Ong—who says this concert is very personal to him—may isa siyang bagong kanta na ila-launch niya sa concert.
“Magiging personal siya for me kasi ang topic ng concert na ito ay kung paano makipag-communicate sa mga significant na tao sa buhay mo with the challenges of this pandemic na kinakaharap natin ngayon,” lahad niya sa press. “And recently din na-hospitalize ’yong mom ko, na-operahan siya and then ang daming nangyayari sa akin, e…ngayon, engaged na rin ako…kaya lahat ng kakantahin ko, lahat konektado doon sa nangyari sa buhay ko.
“Meron akong isang kanta, it’s called ‘Lagda,’ an original song na written and composed by Mike Shapiro and Thyro [Alfaro].
Malo-launch tuloy sa show.”
Chosen lang naman siya ng Spotify, along with two other international performers na ilagay do’n to represent its Global EQUAL Playlist.
Ang FOUR HEARTS ay produced ng Viva Live, the same production that gave us Sarah Geronimo’s TALA digital concert and the Rico Blanco Songbook: Musical Stories by Rico Blanco streaming special. (Both world-class musical productions are still available for streaming on Vivamax, by the way).
Directed by Paolo Valenciano, the FOUR HEARTS digital concert is scheduled on August 28, 2021 at 8pm.
For only P1000, it can be viewed on KTX for Philippine audiences and on the IWANTFC and TFC IPTV platforms for audiences on other territories.
