The happy and inexplicable “romance-in-the-air” vibe in the single “Pelikula” not only made for good listening but gave positive kilig feels as well.
From “Pelikula” comes a new loveteam.
We are of course referring to the current hit single produced by the Janine Teñoso-Arthur Nery collab.
Since its release, “Pelikula” has become an instant fan favorite and has easily crossed its first million listens just days after its release.
Thanks to the strong respective following of these two creative young souls whose combined music genius produced the catchy love song.
But something else became obvious with “Pelikula”…the equally strong chemistry between Janine and Arthur. This chemistry is present in their finished written piece, in their blended voices, and in their physical togetherness on-and off-screen.
The happy and inexplicable “romance-in-the-air” vibe in the single not only made for good listening but gave positive kilig feels as well.
This same kilig feels is captured on camera with the release of the official “Pelikula” music video. Just like the single, the music video is also the first on-cam collab of Janine and Arthur.
Both music gems are two of the most sought-after young singers today. Janine Teñoso had a breakthrough with a couple of hit singles, the biggest of which is “’Di Na Muli.”
While Arthur Nery’s slow-built explosion to mainstream consciousness started with his album Letters Never Sent via its hit single “Higa.” He had since become one of the leading male singers of LoFi-styled R&B in the country today.
Viva Records is encouraging the creative partnership between the two. An executive even said that “Janine and Arthur work extremely well together. We daresay that there’s magic when they’re together. And it comes out and we hear it every time they sing together.”
Expect more “magic” from these two as “Pelikula” is just the beginning of their collaborative music journey. The song, written by Janine and Arthur themselves, is produced by Civ Fontanilla and arranged by Janno Queyquep; while Joel Mendoza recorded, mixed and mastered it at the Viva Recording Studios.
It’s official music video, for its part, is directed by Paul Basinilio, with photography direction by Tom Redoble, production design by Eric Manalo, art direction by Claudette Miranda, and choreography by Jobel Dayrit.
Produced by Viva Records, “Pelikula” is now released for streaming on all digital music streaming apps.
