Early July ng taong kasalukuyan nang magtungo ng Amerika ang celebrity photographer na si Raymund Isaac kasama ang long-time partner niyang si Jayson Vicente for a short vacation. Sa kasamaang-palad, despite him being vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine, tinamaan pa rin si Raymund ng nasabing sakit.
Early July ng taong kasalukuyan nang magtungo ng Amerika ang celebrity photographer na si Raymund Isaac kasama ang long-time-partner-turned husband niyang si Jayson Vicente. Doon na rin sila nag-avail ng pagpapa-bakuna.
Sa kasamaang-palad, despite him being vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine, tinamaan pa rin si Raymund ng nasabing sakit.
July 24 nang manawagan siya ng dasal sa mga kaibigan through a Facebook post. Aniya, kinailangan niyang maisugod sa isang ospital sa San Francisco dahil sa “lack of oxygen.”
“Friends I need all your prayers now. I was rushed to CMPC SAN FO hospital this morning due to lack of oxygen. I am alone here in the hospital due to Covid rules.
“It’s scary to be in a place where you don’t know anyone.
Include me please in your prayers.
Even Jayson Vicente can’t be with me now.”

Bandang alas siete kagabi sa Pilipinas, September 4, nang kumalat sa mga viber groups ng mga taga-showbiz na sumaka-bilang buhay na umano ang beteranong photographer sa San Francisco matapos ang more than a month na pakikipaglaban sa Covid-19.
Pero wala pa sa mga ka-anak ni Raymund ang pormal na nag-anunsyo ukol sa malungkot na balita.
Bandang alas dose ng gabi sa Pilipinas, September 5, nag magpalit ng blankong itim na profile picture sa kanyang Facebook si Jayson. Ito na ang naging kumpirmasyon ng malungkot na balita.
Sa July 26 Facebook post ni Jayson, sinabi niyang stable naman ang kalagayan ni Raymund and that he’s receiving the best medical attention. Dinagdag pa niyang nagpapasalamat at naa-appreciate umano ni Raymond ang outpouring of concern and prayers.
“Dear Family & Friends,
Raymund & I really appreciate all the expressions of outpouring concern and thoughtfulness: texts, calls, food deliveries, and prayers. At this time, Raymund is receiving the best medical attention he needs. His condition is stable. What he really needs is to rest and sleep. This is most critical to a full recovery.
For this, we ask you a big favor: Pls. direct any questions to me via texts on Messenger or Viber. Let’s all give Raymund peace & quiet.

By July 28, isang maikling “Please continue to pray for Raymund” ang kanyang ipinost.
Noong August 1, ayon pa rin kay Jayson, ay inilipat na umano ng ICU (intensive care unit) si Raymund.
Sa kanya namang August 6 post, ipinagtapat ni Jason na anxious o balisado si Raymund at hindi napagkakatulog.
August 11 na nang muling mag-update si Jayson, ang by this time, limang araw na umano naka-intubate at sedated si Raymund at bawal na umanong tumanggap ng bisita.
August 28 ang huling pag-a-update ni Jayson sa Facebook tungkol sa kalagayan ni Raymund. Aniya, nanatiling naka-intubate at sedated si Raymund at muli siyang humiling ng mas maigting na dasal para dito.
“Today Menmen/ Raymund is stable. He remains in the ICU intubated & sedated. The medical team monitors his condition closely & I receive regular reports on his O2 levels, BP, & other organ functions. Though his condition changes periodicallY, I know that he is fighting hard. We all need to continue to fight with him through our prayers. He still needs us all.
“From Day 1 your prayers, concern and care has been our source of strength. God has been continuously blessing us with “angels”. We really appreciate your prayers, unconditional support and love. Please be by our side until Menmen is out of the hospital.

Si Raymund Isaac ang isa sa mga premiere portrait photographers ng bansa. Dahil sa husay, naging paborito siyang photographer ng mga advertisers, fashion magazines, film studios, at ng mga celebrities sa showbiz mismo.
Dahil very friendly at gregarious ang personality, naging malapit siyang kaibigan ng napakaraming artista sa pangunguna na ng Star for All Seasons na si Vilma Santos na halos hindi pumapayag na ibang photographer ang magli-litrato sa kanya. Close din siya kay Robin Padilla, Piolo Pascual, Judy Ann Santos, at marami pang iba.
Last year, habang naka-lockdown, Raymund found a new passion: ang pagho-host ng live online talk show sa Facebook, ang Chikahan with Raymund, kung saan guest niya ang mga kaibigang artista at colleagues sa fashion industry. Nightly niya itong napangatawanan until July 4, 2021, bago siya nagtungo ng Amerika.
Habang isinusulat naming ito ay unti-unti nang bumabaha ng pakikiramay at tribute sa social media mula sa mga artistang naka-trabaho at naging kaibigan ng ace lensman gaya nina Luis Manzano, Jolina Magdangal, Rachel Alejandro, Direk Joey Reyes, Louie Heredia, Zsa-Zsa Padila, at marami pang iba.
