“No, imposibleng walang pakialaman…imposible ’yon,” madiing iling ni Diego. “Although Barbie is an artista, she’s still my partner, my lover, so it’s impossible to say that even if I tell her before or prior to shooting na, ‘Baby may ganito,’ she’s not gonna feel it? Of course, she’s gonna feel something when she sees it. But doon lang pumapasok ’yong understanding na she is in the same business. So, alam niyang work lang.”
And vice versa.
“Kasi malamang naman anyone who’s in love…” nakangiting dagdag niya.
“And mostly [movie/TV] stories are about a couple or about someone… there’s always gonna be like a bed scene, of course.”
In fact, between him and Barbie, mas marami umano siyang roles that required intimate scenes.
“I don’t know why I’m telling you this but some movies show more than others diba? It just so happened the script that I receive and the work given to me or siguro my age group, my age bracket also kaya mas parang mas nagpapakita.
She doesn’t have very intimate… or kung meron man, it doesn’t show very much. Kumbaga it’s very PG (parental guidance), hindi s’ya ’yong parang R-18 na palabas na maraming pinapakita.”
And in his case, he talks to her daw prior to going to the shoot.
“Of course, I reassure her and I say sorry pa rin na, you know, ito ’yon, e [trabaho ito]. You know? And if hindi kailangan, I’d ask direk…‘Direk baka naman p’wedeng hindi ganto, baka man ’yong character hindi naman kailangan gawin ito.’ And if kaya naman ayon, babawasan.
“Kasi if it was ’Bi doing a role [like that], I wouldn’t be that comfortable. I wouldn’t be comfortable…of course I’d understand that’s her work pero alam mo ’yon?”
“Naiilang kami. Like I always say like ‘Bi, let’s watch something…’ Ayaw niya. Or something of me naman, kapag pine-play niya, ayoko ko rin. Nagki-cringe ako. Haha!”
Biro namin, hindi pala sila p’wedeng gumawa ng YouTube content na gaya ng ginagawa ng ibang celebrity couples na: “Reacting on each other’s kissing scenes.”
“It’s a sensitive thing,” saad ni Diego. “Of course, we are both entitled to our own feelings. So, ano ’yon, it would be difficult or very hard. Yeah, we could. But I don’t think the reactions that we will get will be something that we will post on YouTube, diba? Hahaha!”
