Ready na raw i-bubble wrap ni Glaiza de Castro ang best film trophy—na korteng butcher’s knife—na napagwagian ng pelikula niyang Midnight in a Perfect World sa 21st TOHorror Fantastic Film Fest. Iuuwi niya ito mula Turin, Italy.
Sulit ang pagpunta ni Glaiza de Castro sa Europe dahil maliban sa nakasama na n’ya ang fiancé na si David Rainey ay wagi din bilang best film ang pelikula n’yang Midnight in a Perfect World.
Naging entry kasi ng Pilipinas ang movie niyang ito sa katatapos lang na 21st TOHorror Fantastic Film Fest na ginanap mula October 19 to 24 sa Turin, Italy. Ang nasabing film fest ay isa sa longest-running film fest in Italy na naka-devote sa fantastic and horror films.
“Of course the real reason why I’m in Italy was to represent @midnightinaperfectworldfilm which was the only Filipino film in the selection and so proud and grateful that we won BEST FILM!” masayang pagbabalita ng aktres sa kanyang Instagram post kahapon, October 26.
Her post came with a series of photos kung saan hawak n’ya ang best film trophy na inspired sa hugis ng butcher’s knife.
“Thank you so much @tohorrorfilmfest for the fantastic experience,” dugtong pa ni Glaiza.
“Congratulations errbody! Naka ready na bubble wrap para iuwi to.”
Aside from Glaiza, kabilang din sina Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Anthony Falcon, Dino Pastrano, and Bing Pimentel sa Midnight in a Perfect World, which was written and directed by Dodo Dayao at co-produced ng Globe Studios and Epicmedia Productions.
The award-winning film tells the story of Mimi [Jasmine] and Jinka [Glaiza] sa isang futuristic Metro Manila kung saan gabi-gabing nagkaka-blackout at misteryosong nawawala ang mga tao.
Ang Midnight in a Perfect World ang naging top-selling film sa QCinema International Film Festival 2020. Nagkamit din ito ng 11 nominations at nanalo ng best sound sa 44th Gawad Urian Award.
