“SMS” by Because

Because returns with another relatable track, “SMS.” Here, Because sets his lonesome lyrics in upbeat hip-hop vibe to mask the pain of waiting in vain.

“Porque” by Alamat

The emerging Ppop boy group, Alamat, releases their rendition of “Porque” by Maldita. Here, the boy group introduces the poetic beauty of Chavacano in their boppy-pop version. The group’s effortless romantic appeal complements well with the mellow beat arrangement of the track, including folk instruments, as though marking their signature.

“Bihira” by Kyle Raphael

Kyle Raphael flaunts yet again his knack for songwriting in his new single, “Bihira.” The track is a product of Kyle Raphael’s experiment on fusing jazz, acoustic, and hip-hop. Here, he immensely speaks of a rare-find type of a person, one you’ll do everything for to keep in your life.

“I KNOW (알 아 요)” by Mikee Misalucha

Mikee Misalucha’s collaboration track with Hamin, entitled “I KNOW (알 아 요),” drifts us to the world of a KPop fan. Here, Mikee Misalucha narrates the fantasy of a fan—her fangirling moment with her Oppa—which helps her get through the world’s current situation.

The track is a fusion of English, Filipino, and Korean verses filled with dreamy Kpop beats and R&B hooks. It also evotes a rap portion from Hamin, a Korean Language Teacher who has co-written the track.

“Love Is A Promise” by Down By 18 ft. Tom Rodriguez

In “Love Is A Promise,” the alt-rock band spices up their sound with more pop beats and intricate bass guitar stringing. The track’s retro feels, coupled with their rapping skills, further highlight’s the song’s endearing message of one’s loyal heart.

“Agos” by Black Wolf Gypsies

Rock and rollin’ continues as Black Wolf Gypsies gives us, “Agos.” The head-banging upbeat offering ironically tells the tale of a person lost in life’s rigorousness and never-ending temptations. The intricate bass guitar solo will send you  contemplating and asking yourself: “where has life taken me?”

“Hulog” by EMN’98

Indie singer-songwriter EMN’98 starts a new journey in music with her debut single, “Hulog,” under OC Records. The track’s mellow pop beats highlight the high-caliber vocals of EMN’98 riffing in her R&B hooks. The songs is her soulful narration of one’s battle to stay afloat in life amidst the raging seas of confusion.

“Taglamig” by Jono Hilario

Jono Hilario is up for a Christmas-y vibe in his new track, “Taglamig,” which is meant to console us during our figurative “cold” Ber months. Jono Hilario’s heart-clutching verses about longing for a loved one during the holidays are accompanied by Michaella Torres’ superb violin skills. MidSummer gives a nostalgic vibe in their “Coming All The Way For You” single. Here, this passionate band of young artists displays their gift of harmony evident in the orchestral sound produced by their instrumentations coupled with the poignant voice of their vocalist. “Sa Haba Ng Gabi” OST by Rob Deniel

Vivamax’s new horror-comedy movie “Sa Haba Ng Gabi,” is all about survival amidst a zombie apocalypse.
