Diego Loyzaga is one of the busiest actors this pandemic. Obvious na malaki ang tiwala sa kanya ng VAA (Viva Artist Agency). At ani Diego, tinatapatan naman niya iyon ng maayos na pagta-trabaho. “I’m grateful, I’m grateful. I can’t summarize any other way than being thankful and grateful for all of these opportunities. “And of course, on my end, I’ll do my best in every single situation. In return, ‘yun ang maipa-promise ko. That I will always do my best.”
Dahil sa character na ginagampanan ni Diego Loyzaga sa bagong Vivamax movie na “More Than Blue,” kunsaan ang mahal niya ay may iba at totoong mahal talaga, natanong ng press ang aktor kung pag dating sa pag-ibig in real life ay kaya rin kaya niyang magsakripisyo ng ganoon?
“Ang dami kong p’wedeng sabihin diyan, ah,” natatawang bungad niya.
“What can you sacrifice? It can be anything and everything. I was discussing it nga with Direk [Nuel Naval] and Yassi [Pressman] na ewan ko kung sabihin mo na martyr or tanga, pero ang sakit kasi,” esplika niya sa sitwasyon ng character niya.
“Mahal mo ang isang tao pero alam mo ‘yung taong ‘yun, may mahal pang iba. Hindi pa siya nakakapag-move-on sa ibang tao. I guess, understanding and sacrifice, parang kasama siya, e,” pag-a-analyze ni Diego sa sitwasyon.
“I realized, there’s always sacrifice when there’s something you and your partner disagree on a certain topic or everything, magsa-sacrifice ka.
“Alam ko, they say that if you really love a person, you don’t ask the person to change. Pero ikaw sa sarili mo…maybe it doesn’t apply to everyone, pero ako sa sarili ko, if I really love the person, as much as possible, I won’t do anything that will hurt the person I love.
“So, by changing or making myself different, I need to sacrifice in exchange to becoming a different person to the person I love.”
Naniniwala rin daw si Diego sa soulmate.
“Yes,” mabilis na sagot ni Diego. “I do believe that there are– like jigsaw puzzle, there are certain pieces that clicked being together. Sobrang suwerte n’yo, kung gano’n kayo and you’ve found your perfect jigsaw puzzle.
“But I do also believe that there are puzzles na hindi kayo nagko-connect. But sometimes just a little bit of one and add a little bit of the other and nagko-connect din siya. You just have to work on it and be perfect for each other.”
At dahil nga “wasak puso” kung tawagin ang kuwento ng More Than Blue—na mapapanood na sa Vivamax simula sa November 19—sa totoong buhay, ano ang mga bagay na nakakapagpa-feeling blue o nakapagbibigay ng kalungkutan sa kanya?
“When you expect things na parang sana itong month or itong year, meron na akong ganyan or meron na akong ganito. You set yourself for disappointment, e.
“So, one of the biggest things, probably for me, lalo na if you’re working hard for it. You set your goals, you set things right and then, hindi pa rin.
“But I guess, I’ll tell myself na, ‘Hindi pa oras, hindi pa tama. In God’s perfect time.”
Samantala, isa si Diego sa mga VIVA artists na kapansin-pansing alagang-alaga ng kumpanya. Walang-duda na ang laki ng tiwala sa kanya ng VAA (Viva Artist Agency) dahil sa dami niyang proyekto, mapa-TV man o pelikula.

Isa pa sa magandang development sa buhay ni Diego ngayon ay ang unti-unti nilang pagkakaroon ng komunikasyon ng kanyang amang si Cesar Montano.
“I’ve been reaching out. We’ve talked—very, very briefly— when he has the time. He fell sick earlier this year, previously from COVID and because of that, we we’re able to talk again.
“And sana one of these days, I get to see him.”
