“Few more days before Christmas and if your heart is breaking for your own sadness or the world’s, the nation’s … it’s okay. The most wonderful time of the year is not because everything is perfect but because there was an answer, a comfort, to our imperfect world.”

“Few more days before Christmas and if your heart is breaking for your own sadness or the world’s, the nation’s … it’s okay. The most wonderful time of the year is not because everything is perfect but because there was an answer, a comfort, to our imperfect world.”

“Me sending my ugly crying photo to fam in the US. My nephew got married and I couldn’t make it bec my vaxx schedule didn’t make it,” panimula ni Rica sa mahaba n’yang post.

Aniya, kabilang daw siya sa mga magse-celebrate ng Pasko few days from now na hindi kapiling ang mahahalagang tao sa buhay.

“So many people are not having the usual happy Christmas. I am one of them,” aniya. “There is nothing I want more but to be with my fam in the US right now. I believe many of us lost people we love in the past years, too, and the holidays make us feel that loss even more.”

Pagbibida pa ng aktres, “My family is great. There were years that I believed some people were better after being blinded by cultures that promote theirs is superior. But whenever I get to the bottom of it, our family, though not perfect, gave me a safe space and above all: STAYED THRU AND THRU. Yeah sure we fought, but they still included me in everything and treated me, well, family.”

Tanging pamilya lang daw kasi n’ya ang nagparamdam sa kanya ng unconditional love at tumanggap sa kanya no matter what.

“And I say that last point because many will claim to be family to you but only those who will stay thru the differences, who will unconditionally love you, accept you, not change you, even when you don’t agree on everything, will prove to be true and lasting. Only time tells,” paglalahad pa ni Rica.

“This Peralejo fam of mine is running 40 years and still going,” patuloy niya. “People who carried me to the car when I was drunk, people who cried when I was harsh, people who nursed me when I was abandoned by those I had offered my life and service to. Maybe it had to take that much for me to know there is a gift in the family I am a part of.”

“Few more days before Christmas and if your heart is breaking for your own sadness or the world’s, the nation’s … it’s okay. The most wonderful time of the year is not because everything is perfect but because there was an answer, a comfort, to our imperfect world,” Rica concluded.
